Latest Player to be Offered a Contract Extension

Antonio Murray, our recent signing from Ipswich is to be offered a new contract after just five appearances for the Hibs.

The 20-year-old midfielder’s current contract ends in the summer.

But Hibs manager Tony Mowbray is keen to hold on to Murray, who joined from Ipswich Town in January, and he hopes to begin negotiations with Antonio shortly.

Antonio was asked whether he would like an extension to his contract at Easter Road and he said he would, but it all depends on the Gaffer.

This is a player who was phoned by Mogga at 15:00 and Antonio was on a plane to Edinburgh at 19:00 to sign on the dotted line, so in that respect we can assume there was no ‘Let me think about it’ involved and a few days later the player turned out for the first team at Livingston.
