Management extend contracts

Hot news from Easter Road
Tony Mowbray and Mark Venus have put pen to paper, after weekend talks with Hibs to cross the T's and dot the I's, and extended their contracts with Hibs for another two years taking them up to the summer of 2008.
It' a clear case of practise what you preach with the management team tying up the laddies at Easter Road with getting them to sign extensions also.

Hibs Chairman Rod Petrie Told the official Site:

“Everyone associated with the Club, is delighted with what Tony and Mark have achieved with the players and as a team this Season. This announcement gives a clear statement to Hibernian supporters and players alike that we are determined to build on this great start and to continue to grow and develop the Club for the future.”

“We spoke at length before his appointment and Tony explained his footballing principles. He has put those into practise by playing open and attractive football. Supporters have demonstrated their commitment to Tony’s philosophy by turning out in increasing numbers to back the team. If the trend of increasing crowds at Easter Road can be sustained, Tony will have greater flexibility when the transfer window re-opens at the end of the Season to shape his squad going forward.”

Tony Mowbray said:

“I said we would sort things out pretty quickly and I am just delighted it’s done and dusted and we can focus on the job in hand. Both Mark and I are enjoying being at Hibs and working with a great bunch of lads, and we will continue to work as hard as we can to take the Club forward.”

Good news indeed to start the week off for the Happy Hibees Family
