Murray goes West

Hibs yesterday thanked Ian Murray for his service during his time at the Club as a player.

After weeks of speculation it has been announced the former Hibs Captain has joined Rangers, on a free, and signed a three-year contract.

Tony Mowbray said: “Ian has been a good player for the Club and has always given us 100 per cent. While we are disappointed he has chosen to go at an exciting time for the Club, we respect his right to make his own decisions and we wish him well in the future.”

'Simon Brown' recently said about Murray, ”........while at the back the likes of Gary Caldwell is an assured centre half who really does compliment Ian Murray – he is the playmaker, he can play a bit and do things from the back.”

I would love to wish him all the best for his future etc but as I feel I’ve just had a kick in the teeth I’m finding it hard to say anything.
