Nearly 3,000 supporters travelled over the bridge to Fife this afternoon, as the Hibees played their latest pre-season game.

Goals from Scott Allan and Lewis Stevenson handed Hibs the win.

Dunfermline new boy Jason Talbot was red carded after a shocking challenge on Hibs striker Dominique Malonga in the first half.

Hibs dominated the match, and it could have been much worse for the home side, if new signing, and former Hibs keeper Sean Murdoch hadn't pulled off some good saves from Cummings and Stanton.

However, there was nothing he could do to stop Hibs taking the lead through Scott Allan.

The outstanding midfielder curled a sensational strike

past Murdoch and in to the top corner on the 34th minutea, after he cut in from the left.

Hibs doubled their lead on 51 minutes when Jason Cummings played in Lewis Stevenson, who finished with ease.

Dunfermline pulled a goal back through the excellent El Bahktaoui, with a superb finish from the edge of the box.

There was no place for new boy Marvin Bartley, and the Hibs bench was on the youthful side, with the on-going injuries to Martin Boyle, Farid El Alagui, Danny Carmichael, James Keatings and Danny Handling.
