We are saddened the news tonight, that well known Hibs fan Sam Martinez has passed away.
Sam became something of a minor celebrity, after it was revealed he was the oldest known Hibs fan alive, at 106, and he still hadn't seen the Hibees lift the Scottish Cup.
Well we all know that ended this summer, when the Hibees defeated the Rangers 3-2, to finally end 114 years of hurt.
Sam finally got to see his beloved Hibees lift the trophy, and finally got his picture taken with the trophy.
He was also a well known face around Leith and the Hibs club, and will be sadly missed.
Hibs-Mad would like to pass on it's condolences to Sam's family & friends.
