Special Brew set for Fife?

Craig Brewster has this morning been linked with a move to Dunfermline Athletic.

Set to sign for the Pars?
The East End Park outfit only scored 41 goals last term, and with only Dundee United and relegated St Johnstone scoring less, boss Jimmy Calderwood may see the striker as the man to rectify that statistic.

Brewster is out of contract at Easter Road and it is well known that with the lack of cash in the Scottish game right now, Hibs will probably not be able to offer him a new contract.

Brewster said: "The club has said outgoings are a lot greater than money coming in, so it's obvious a lot of cuts will have to be made. Hibs are a great club and, whether I am here or not, I hope they do well next season."

Brewster has been credited with the emergence of Garry O'Connor last season, and his departure would be a massive blow.

It is a mystery however, how Dunfermline, surely in the same boat as Hibs cash wise, can afford to offer Brewster a contract, when we cannot.

Also out of contract is Matty Jack, and while he is still interesting play off losers Norwich City, has repeatedly said he wants to stay ion Edinburgh.
