TELL CELTIC WHERE TO GO!

Worth more than £2m
It is being reported that Ulrik Laursen is set to sign for Celtic for £2m. I'll type that out again. £2m - £2,000,000 - TWO MILLION POUNDS. Doesn't seem right, does it?

Here is a player who has proven his class in his two years at Easter Road, hasn't reached his peak yet (not by a long way), is set to break into the Danish national team this season, and once again the Mould Firm decide they want to take another player on the cheap.

TELL THEM WHERE THEY CAN STICK THEIR MEASLY £2m.

As everyone now knows, Ulises de la Cruz is signing for Aston Villa for just under £2m today. This is not the cause of too much heartbreak for most Hibees, as DLC never really showed why he was the clubs record signing, and it was a good piece of business as we already have cover for him.

But losing Laursen for the same amount? No thanks. It's being said that Hibs are 'cash strapped'. That's as maybe, but there will be an uproar of Ulirk leaves for the East End of Glasgow. Cash strapped? A TV deal with the BBC is set to be signed, giving us more money, and the fact that we're getting £1.8m for de la Cruz should mean we can afford not to just take the first bid that comes in.

Tell Celtic they better double the offer before they even think they can take

Laursen away. Need the money? I would happily settle for not seeing any of the DLC cash and keeping Laursen in a Hibs jersey. Tell the bank, 'there you go, nearly £2m pounds, that'll keep you off our backs, and some TV money is forthcoming too. But we're keeping Laursen'.

Surely with the Aston Villa cash coming in, we don't need to sell again this season. If we do, there will be an uproar at Easter Road. The only acceptable minimum amount for me is £4m. And then Bobby should get at least £3m of it. What if he does go for £2m? That would be around £4m. How much would Bobby get? It had better most of it, or there will be a lot of unhappy customers at Easter Road. Is it any coincidence these deals are happening just before the start of the season? Most of the punters buying season tickets would already have bought them, so no probs for the board in that respect.

I blame that slimy agent Gordon Smith. Smith was reported in the Daily Mirror today: "Martin O'Neil has spoken to me about Laursen before. Given Celtic's lack of resources in that area it would not surprise me if something develops." It wouldnae surprise me either with you as his agent ya balloon. Don't tell me that Smith hasn't said that Celtic are interested in him. Is that not called tapping? I'm not sure, I'm not a low life agent only looking for my percentage.

If I was on the Hibs board I would ban Gordon Smith from Easter Road. It's clear he's engineering another players move away from Hibs, and it's not the first time. Remember that starlet Kenny Miller anyone? Good old Smithy was his agent as well - but I guess most Hibees already know that!

Ulrik, stay for a while longer mate. But if you do go, please, PLEASE not to Glasgow.

Also, Hibs won the final match of their tour of Finland with a 2-1 win against Jaro.  We were a goal behind but two late goals from Paco Luna ensured that the tour ended with a 100% record.  Onward now to the Friendly at Easter Road on Monday versus Everton.
