Hibs have granted permission to Ipswich Town to speak to manager Tony Mowbray.

Mowbray will speak to
Ipswich chairman David Sheepshanks in the coming days.

Sheepshanks told the official Ipswich site:

"It's our aim to have a new manager in place before the end of June when the players return for pre-season training,"

Mowbray has been manager of Hibs for two seasons and still has two years left on his contract, meaning Ipswich will have to pay compensation to get there man.

Mogga guided Hibs to a 3rd place finish and Uefa Cup Football in his first season.

Hibs finished 4th this season and due to injuries probably would have been scrapping with Rangers for 3rd a possibly Hearts for 2nd.

Tony was assistant to George Burley at
Ipswich before moving to Hibs and also played for Ipswich for a number of years after leaving Celtic.

It's not looking good for the Hi-Bees. :-(
