Hibernian 1 Heart of Midlothian 1
The French striker scored with an instinctive finish in the opening minute of the second half to earn a draw after Hearts had trailed at half-time to an own goal from their skipper Christophe Berra.
Hibs started brightly and Steven Fletcher, back after injury, tried his luck early on but his shot was well wide.
But Hearts had the better chances in the opening 15 minutes. Andy Driver should have done better with a close-range header as he sent it over the crossbar after great work from Robbie Neilson.
Driver then created an opportunity for Andrius Velicka but he could only find the side-netting with Hibs again looking vulnerable at the back.
But Hibs had a strong claim for a penalty when Berra looked to have barged into Lewis Stevenson in the area, but referee Charlie Richmond waved play on.
The home side moved in front after 18 minutes. A corner from Filipe Morais caused mayhem in the Hearts box and the ball struck Berra and ended up in the net.
It was the goal they needed to settle them and they looked dangerous going forward although their final ball into the penalty area left a lot to be desired.
It was an untidy affair for the most part with no-one prepared to put their foot on the ball and chances were few and far between.
Driver tried his luck with a 30-yard free-kick before half-time, but his effort was too high and Yves Makalamby was not troubled.
Fletcher almost made it 2-0 on the stroke of half-time after being put through by Guillaume Beuzelin, but Anthony Basso stood up well to save.
Hearts responded immediately and this time Velicka was frustrated by Ma-Kalambay as he threatened an equaliser before Hibs scrambled the ball clear.
But Hibs' lead was wiped out a minute after the break. Nade managed to steer the ball into the net from close-in after a great cross from Driver was helped on by Andrius Ksanavicius.
Hearts had the upper hand for the next ten minutes and Driver had another opening, but his right-foot shot was again too high.
But Hibs hit back and Beuzelin saw a header hacked off the line by Velicka with Basso beaten as Hearts lived dangerously.
It was end-to-end stuff and Velicka was just inches wide with a speculative effort which beat the diving Makalamby.
Both sides made changes in the closing stages in an attempt to gain all three points, but a draw was a fair enough result.
