Inverness Caledonian Thistle match preview

Last updated : 10 September 2004 By Brian Hine

Hibs travel north to Pittodrie for the first time this season but it’s not to play Aberdeen. Instead the Hibees will play Inverness Caley Thistle for the first time on Saturday with a traditional 3pm Kick off.

Hibs get set to face Caley for the first time though there will be a few familiar faces in the opposition line up with Darren Dodds, Darren Thomson and Stuart McCaffrey all having donned the green and white of Hibs at some point in the past.

Not forgetting (though I wish we could) The Caley manager John Robertson, who seemed to click every time he played the Hibs.

Hibs will have back in the squad the Six players who all returned fit from their International duty in midweek and Ian Murray should be in the squad for a long overdue return after his injury nightmare of the last few months.

Caley have had a mixed start to the season with Three defeats and a win and with Hibs having a full set One win, One Draw & Two losses, both teams will be out looking for a win

Prices for this game have been reduced to £18.00 and £10.00 with Hibs looking to take up a couple of thousand fans up to the most Northerly fixture of the season, at least in the League anyway because if Hibs get Caley away in either of the Cup tournaments then Caley can play those games at their own ground, now what’s the difference is the $64,000 question. To finish off, I wish Hibs all the best and hopefully three points will be in the bag by Five O’clock Saturday evening, but I’m sure they will be made to work for it.

Unlike the Madman below I'll go for a hard earned Hibs Victory winning 3-1 away.
