Hibs winger Elie Youan has taken to social media to reveal he will leave Easter Road this summer.
The former St Gallen attacker will leave Easter Road after 101 games, 25 goals and 21 assists in his 4 year spell in Edinburgh.
27-year-old Youan's highlights in a Hibs shirt include a debry double against Hearts at Tynecastle and and impressive display in Switzerland against FC Luzern, including a sublime goal, as the Hibees advanced in the UEFA Conference League in 2023.
During his time in Leith, Hibs knocked back decent offers from both Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers, whilst a number of other clubs were linked with player. However he now leaves when his contract expires in a matter of weeks.
Speaking on Instagram, he said:
“Well, it's time to say goodbye after four years. I wanna say from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything, Hibernian FC.
“It has been a special ride. I'll cherish the highs, learn from the lows, but I'll never forget this club and everyone who crossed paths with me here, especially the ones who believed in me and loved me.
“Wish you all the best for the next season – Edinburgh will always be my home.”
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW
On his day, Elie is a very exciting player and has had some good games for the Hibees.
However, he has slowly fell out-of-favour and Hibs boss David Gray dropped him completely from match-day squads in recent months.
Youan will likely have a number of suitors for his signature, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
Gray will, of course, free up a big wage, to add to his summer recruitment drive.
