According to the Daily Record, Hibs are in talks to sign VFL Bochum defender Felix Passlack.
The 27-year-old is out-of-contract this summer, and Bochum left him out of their winter training camp game against Alemannia Aachen as a precaution on Saturday, as the German club look to strike a deal with the Hibees, rather than lose him for nothing this summer!
It looks like a deal could be done this week. with Bochum arriving back from Turkey on Sunday.
Passlack would provide competition for Chris Cadden and Kanayao Megwa on the right side of defence for the Hibees.
He has a pretty solid looking background, having come through the youth system with German giants Borussia Dortmund, playing 55 times.
Passlack also had loan spells with Hoffenheim, Fortuna Sittard (Holland) and Norwich City, before joining Bochum on a free transfer.
He has over 170 appearances to his name, most of them in the German Bundesliga and Dutch Eredivisie, and has been capped all the way from U16-U21 for Germany.
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW
This looks, on paper, a good signing for the Hibees.
Plenty of experience at a high level, and still plenty gas left in the tank.
Hibs have been targeting a right back/wing back for a while, and this lad looks a good option.
Let's see if we can pull it off.
