Hibs have this afternoon confirmed the departure of defender Chris Cadden.
The 29-year-old has joined Aberdeen for an undisclosed fee on a two-year-deal, following over 5 years in Leith.
Cadden, who came on a sub last night as the Hibees, who came back from a 0-2 defecit from the first leg of their Uefa Conference league clash with Kosovo side FC Malisheva, to win 4-1 on the night and 4-3 on aggregate, played 166 times for the club.
He signed from Columbus Crew in a reported £300,000 deal back in 2021.
Hibs boss David Gray, speaking to the official club website said:
“Cadds has been a brilliant servant to this Club for a number of years. The energy, consistency, professionalism and the way he has conducted himself every day has helped set the standard for new players and young lads coming through.
“Unfortunately we couldn’t offer him as much game time as he would’ve liked here, and at this stage of his career we understand that he wants to maximise his playing opportunities.
“He leaves with the very best wishes from all the coaching staff, players and everyone associated with the Club.”

Chris has been a good servant for the Hibees and put in some good displays.
However, with the arrival of the impressive German defender Felix Passlack and the emergance of youngster Kenayo Megwa, Cadden has started to find game time at Easter Road limited.
A move is probably best for all parties.
