Hibs have this morning confirmed the departure of Irish defender Warren O'Hora.

The 27-year-old has joined English League One side Leicester City for an undisclosed fee, said to be £500,000 plus further add-ons.

O'Hora joined the Hibees from English side MK Dons under freedom of contract in the summer of 2024, and has gone on to make 85 appearances and scored 3 goals.

Speaking to the fficial club website, Hibs boss David Gray said:

“Firstly, I would like to thank Warren for everything he has done for Hibernian FC. He constantly set the standards in training ,and he is a true professional both on and off the pitch.

“We’re sad to see him go, but ultimately, we understand that this is a life-changing move for him and his young family. We wish him all the best of luck with the next chapter of his career moving forward.”

HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW

A big loss for the Hibees, O'Hora has been a mainstay in the side for the last two years and has improved since joining from MK Dons.

However, despite his new club's financial woes, they can still offer him a higher wage than he would earn at Easter Road, despite the step-down to English League One.

Hibs-Mad wish Warren and his family all the best for the future.
