According to the FOOTBALL INSIDER website, Hibs are interested in Nottingham Forest defender Zach Abbott.
The Hibees are set to lose defender Warren O'Hora to Leicester City in a reported £400,000 deal, and have quickly targeted Abbott as a replacement.
Hibs boss David Gray is said to be keen to land the 20-year-old on a season-long loan deal, but will face competition for his signature from Millwall, Watford and Southampton.
Abbott is highly rated by Forest and featured heavily in pre-season, he played 8 times in the English Premiership last season, and 11 times overall so far, the highlight being his start in the English FA Cup Semi Final loss to Mancester City during the 24-25 season.
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW:
It's good to see Hibs reacting quickly to the imminent departure of Warren O'Hora.
Abbott looks a very astute signing, having played in the English Premiership and an FA Cup Semi Final already in his young career.
Let's see if Hibs get this over the line.
