Hibs have tonight announced the signing of defender Jason Kerr.
The 29-year-old becomes the Hibees first signing of the summer, and has signed a two-year-deal at Easter Road.
Kerr, a lifelong Hibs fan, was a free agent after leaving English side Wigan Athletic this summer, and Hibs boss David Gray has moved to bring the former St Johnstone man home to Edinburgh.
Speaking to the official club website, Hibs boss David Gray said:
“We’re delighted to have brought someone of Jason's quality to the Football Club.
“He’s performed at a high level throughout his career and has a real desire to compete at the top level back in Scotland.
“His experience, quality on the ball, and leadership will strengthen us defensively, and he has the capacity to play in any role across our back three.
“He’s a real leader both on and off the pitch, and a player of his experience will add a lot to the team. I'm really looking forward to working with him.”

It's good to see the first signing through the door this summer, just days after the transfer window opened.
Kerr is a solid Scottish Premiership performer, and a good Hibby to boot!
He brings plenty experience to the squad and should hopefully be a cracking signing.
