Hibs ahve reacted quickly to the loss of Warren O'Hora to Leicester City by signing defender Marko Ivezic.

The 24-year-old Serbian international has signed for the Hibees on a three-year-deal from German Budesliga 2 side Holstein Kiel.

6ft 3in Ivezic started his career in his homeland with FK Vozdovac, and made over 70 appearances, before joining Kiel in 2023.

Ivezic could make his debut in the Edinburgh derby against Hearts on Thursday night.

Speaking to the official club website, Hibs boss David Gray said:

“We’re delighted to bring Marko into the building and get the deal over the line.

“He brings a really good combination of both physical defensive qualities and experience having played in the Bundesliga and represented his country.

“He’s very versatile, which gives us another option within the squad, and at 24, he is at an age where he has his best years ahead of him, and we believe he is primed and ready to fit right into the squad.”
