Hibs have this evening confirmed the signing of Tottenham Hotspur attacker Dane Scarlett.

The 21-year-old has signed on loan for the Hibees until the end of the season.

Scarlett is the Hibees third signing in two days, and comes in to bolster David Gray's attacking options after Kieron Bowie Completed his £6m+ move to Serie A side Hellas Verona.

He became Spurs youngest ever player in 2020 and has already amassed over 100 appearances as a pro, including games in the English Premiership, Champions League and Europa League.

Scarlett was an un-used sub for Tottenham as they beat Manchester United to win the Europa League Final last season, and picked up a winners medal, he also scored an important winner and assist against Elfsborg in a previous round.

He has played 27 times for Spurs, but has also had loan spells with Ipswich Town, Oxford United and Portsmouth, and can play on either wing or as a striker.

Speaking to the official club website, Hibs boss David Gray said:

"Dane is a player with real talent, fantastic attributes and he will provide a genuine goal threat in the forward areas of the pitch with his pace, athleticism and technique.

"We are delighted to bring Dane into the building and we are all looking forward to working with him over the next six months."

HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW:

This boy looks a serious talent!!

It's good to see Hibs bringing in an exciting youngster, but one with a load of experience on top of it, too mant times we have signed youngsters on loan from down South, with very little to no experience and the Scottish Premiership has eaten them alive.

This lad seems different, Champions League and English Premiership experience - he has been involved in 3 of Spurs last 7 games.

Welcome to the Hibees Dane!!
