Hibs Women have today announced the signing of goalkeeper Ariana Anastasiadis.

The 25-year-old has signed a 1-year-deal with the Meadowbank based Hibees, and becomes Joelle Murray's fourth signing of the summer.

Greek international Anastasiadis replaces out-going American keeper Noa Schumacher, who has signed for English side Sunderland, after two excellent years in Edinburgh.

Arian has won trophies both titles and cups with French side Le Harve, Apollon of Cyprus and Osijek of Croatia.

She joins Hibs after her contract with Greek Club Kifisia ended.

Speaking to the club website, boss Murray said:

“We're delighted to bring Ariana to Hibs. She's a talented goalkeeper with excellent potential and a strong mentality.

“She has already shown she can perform at a high level, having been involved with the Greek national team, and we believe our environment is the perfect place for her to continue her development.

“Ariana will add quality and competition to our goalkeeping group, and we're excited to see her progress in a Hibs shirt."
