Hibs Women have today announced that a number of the first team squad have left the club.
First off is Last season's Player of the Year Rosie Livingstone, who has joined English side Ipswich town for an undisclosed fee.
Also leaving is out-of-contract Scotland strikers Kathleen McGovern and Eilidh Adams, both huge losses to boss Joelle Murray.
The Hibees will also be losing Ciara Grant (retirement), Lauren Doran-Barr, Noa Schumacher, Stacey Papadopoulos, Poppy Lawson and Hannah Jordan.
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW
Joelle Murray has a big job on her hands rebuilding her squad this summer.
She has lost quality right through the spine of the team, with internationalists departing from most areas.
There has been rumours for weeks that both Rangers and Celtic Women would have their budgets cut this year, and that Champions Hearts would be cutting a massive 50% of their budget, which is apparently why they lost manager Eve Olid, who was also expected to take a 50% pay cut.
Are Hibs following suit? of have these players, especially the likes of Adams, McGovern and Papa, had better offers elsewhere, as they become free agents?
