According to journalist Ben Jacobs, recently relegated English side West Ham United have approached Hibs about the availability of midfielder Josh Mulligan.
The London side have made the first move, with a number of clubs in England, Italy and Germany said to be interested.
However, the ball is firmly in Hibs court, with Mulligan having signed a 4-year-deal in July 2025, meaning Hibs still have him tied down for another three years.
According to reports, The Hammers need to fill a £150m black hole after relegation, and they see Mulligan as an afforable signing.
Mulligan, 23, signed for the Hibees last summer from Dundee for an undisclosed fee, and had an outstanding first 6 months at Easter Road, that resulted in a Scotland call-up.
However, he picked up an ankle injury that seen him ruled out for over 3 months, with Mulligan only Making the final two games of the season.
HIBS-MAD VIEW:
Not good news to hear that one of your best players is wanted, but it's not a surprise, as Mulligan was flying before his injury, and in our opinion could have made the Scotland World Cup squad had he stayed fit.
Mulligan still has 3 years left on his contract, and considering the recent sale of Kieron Bowie to Verona for £7m, a precident has been set.
Hibs will surely be looking for at least the same figure, if not more should they agree to sell.
