Hibs have today confirmed that young keeper Murray Johnson has joined League of Ireland side Shelbourne.
Johnson, 21, has signed on loan for the 26/27 at Tolka Park, and goes straight into their squad for the Uefa Conference League 2nd Qualifying Round home tie with Estonian side Nomme Kalju.
Speaking to the Shels website, Johnson said:
“I’m over the moon to be signing for Shelbourne on loan
“I spoke with the gaffer and Paul, and they made my decision very easy.
“It’s a huge club, and joining at such a pivotal moment in the season, with Europe and the league, is exciting. I can’t wait to get going, starting with an amazing European game under the lights in front of the home crowd.”
Johnson has previously had loan spells with Airdrie (x2), Queen of the South (x2) and Morton, and has been capped from U16-U21 level for Scotland.

A good move for Johnsons.
He has a chance of a crack at European football, which he would not likely get at Easter Road as No.3.
Johnson will also get exposure at a good level in Irish football.
He is seen as a future Hibs No.1 and this move could be a big step towards that.
