Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen has revealed that he is on the look out for to bring in some fresh signings to Easter Road and hopes to land a couple before the weekend.

The new Hibees gaffer admits that the squad needs strengthened in a number of places but has urged the support to be patient as he attempts to add new blood to the squad.

Paatelainen has already landed ex Hibees captain Ian Murray, 26, from
Norwich until the end of the season and has also signed midfielder Ian Rankin, 24, from Inverness Caledonian Thistle in a £110,000 deal.

Mixu has revealed that he is hoping to bring in a number of players to Easter Road and that he knows who he wants, he said:

"I am trying to add to the squad and to strengthen the squad. Hopefully we will have some new signings in time for the game this weekend, but we will have to wait and see.

"If I had my way I would bring them in today but the deal has to be right for every party.

"We know which players we want to bring in but it is not as easy as all that.

"We have a lot of good players already at the club but I feel that we are a little tame right now.

"I am looking at the front players but also at the team as a whole because we already have good strikers here and we can work with them to continue to strengthen their game."
