Hibs captain Rob Jones has declared himself fit for Saturday's trip to Tannadice to face Dundee Utd.

The 6ft 7in centre half received four stitches in a head wound, after a clash of heads, in the 4-2 win over Gretna at Easter Road on Saturday and was taken off the pitch after he complained of double vision.

Jones, 27, was back training with the first team squad yesterday and has stated that he is available for the trip to
Dundee on Saturday, he said:

"I'm fine now. I trained on Monday and I'll train for the rest of the week and be okay for Dundee United.

"I had to get four stitches in the cut and it was quite a deep one so it took a while for the doctor to get it done.

"When I came back on I could see in front of me, although it was blurred, but I couldn't see out either side and I had no option but to come off.

"I had a bit of a headache on Saturday night but the problem with my vision went about an hour after the game and I'm okay now."
