Hibs closing on loan deal for Bournemouth defender Owen Bevan

Hibs are said to be on the verge of landing Bournemouth defender Owen Bevan.

Reports suggest Bevan could be a third player to come on loan from the English Premiership side.

Hibs have already secured Danish attacking midfielder Emiliano Marcondes, and are close to finalising a deal for midfielder Nathan Moriah-Welsh.

There has also been a couple of suggestions that a permanent deal could be done for Bevan, but it seems, for now at least, that a loan will be concluded.

Bevan, 20, has already had loan spells with Truro City, Yeovil Town and Cheltenham Town, playing 67 games across all three, so would bring some decent experience.

This news follows on from the breaking news that Billionaire Bill Foley is set to get the go-ahead to invest in the Hibees, and bring them under his multi-club set-up, known as Black Knights Sports Consortium, that includes Bournemouth, as well as French side FC Lorient and a new club in New Zealand.

They also own NHL hockey side Vegas Golden Knights.

Bevan has been capped by Wales from U17 to U21 level.

HIBS-MAD VIEW

Are we FINALLY about to see the signing of another central defender????

The Hibees currently only have Will Fish available, with Paul Hanlon ill and Rocky Bushiri at AFCON.

If we do sign Bevan, let's hope he up to speed straight away.
