Hibs defender Jordon Forster set to join Cheltenham Town

Hibs defender Jordon Forster is set to leave Hibs and join English side Cheltenham Town.

The central defender, according to Sky Sports, has apparently agreed a two-year-deal with the English League Two side.

Forster, 22, only signed a new two-year-deal with Hibs last summer, but it seems he is on way out the club.

Cheltenham manager Gary Johnson has swooped to add the former Celtic youth player to his squad, after he struggled for games with the Hibees last season.

Forster was likely looking at the same scenario this season, with Efe Ambrose signed on a permanent deal from Celtic, Liam Fontaine & Darren McGregor signing new deals, and mainstay Paul Hanlon also in the squad.

Hibs loaned Forster out to Plymouth Argyle during the 2015/16 season, so he is no stranger to English football, and he has also previously had loan spells with East Fife & Berwick Rangers
