Hibs have today been linked with a move for Raith Rovers forward Gregory Tade.

The 6ft 2in Frenchman is out-of-contract at the end of the season, allowing for a possible pre-contract agreement to be reached with interested clubs.

The 24-year-old can play across the midfield as well as through the middle, and has scored 11 goals for Raith this season.

Hibs will face competition for his signature, with Aberdeen, St Johnstone and Dunfermline all said to be interested in the player.

Hibs management team Colin Calderwood and Derek Adams have visited Stark's Park on a number of ocassions this season, and Tade has caught their eye, as they look to bolster a Hibs squad, which currently only has one striker signed up for next season - Akpo Sodje.

Both Derek Riordan and Ricardo Vaz Te are out-of-contract this summer, but are set to hold talks about extending their stay at Easter Road.

Calderwood has also, already, released fellow strikers, Kurtis Byrne, Valdas Trakys and Colin Nish.

Tade has played for a number of lower league Scottish sides, Clyde, Forfar and Starnraer as well as Raith, but would like to test himself at a higher level.
