Hibs linked with Goalkeeper Jonathan Klinsmann

Last updated : 06 January 2024 By Steve Forbes

Hibs have today been linked with a move for goalkeeper Jonathan Klinsmann.

According to the Daily Mail, Hibs boss Nick Montgomery has indentified the son of legendary German striker Jurgen as a possible January arrival at Easter Road.

Current No.1 David Marshall is 38, and out-of-contract at the end of the season, and Jojo Wollacott, who has only made a couple of appearances after struggling with injury, is away to the AFCON this month with Ghana.

Youngster Max Boruc, who has also only made a couple of appearances, is expected to go out on loan this month as well.

26-year-old Klinsmann is a free agent after leaving MLS side LA Galaxy, making 10 appearances last season and the former Bayern Munich kid could be signed without much fuss should Monty decide to make his move.

Klinsmann has previously played with Hertha Berlin and also had a spell in Belgium with St Gallen.

He has been capped at youth levels by the USA.

HIBS-MAD VIEW:

Hibs definately need to look at the goalkeeper department.

Is Klinsmann the answer?
