Hibs have today been linked with Sunderland winger Jewison Bennette.

According to Si.com, The Hibees are interested in taking the 19-year-old to Easter Road on loan until the end of the season.

The Black Cats have placed the Costa Rican international up for loan, and Hibs boss Nick Montgomery is apparently at the head of the queue.

Bennette arrived on Wearside in August 2022 from Costa Rican side Herediano.

He played all three of Costa Rica's games against Spain, Japan and Germany in the 2022 World Cup.

Bennette has played 20 times, scoring 2 goals for Sunderland and has been capped 12 times for his country, also scoring 2 goals.

HIBS MAD VIEW

Another winger linked with Easter Road.

Hibs manager Nick Montgomery has stated he wanted to freshing up his attacking options, but the Hibees have just signed Hertha Berlin attacker Myziane Maolida, and also already have Elie Youan, Martin Boyle and Jair Tavares fighting for starting positions.

If we also sign Bennette, how does Monty keep them all happy?

It's good having options, and quality at that, we just can't see how they all fit in.
