Hibs midfielder Fraser Murray signs for Dunfermline on loan

Hibs have today finally confirmed that young midfielder Fraser Murray has signed for Dunfermline Athletic on loan.

The 21-year-old has been training with the Pars over the last few weeks, and scored a 35 yard screamer, as he played as a trialist against Stenhousemuir in a 1-1 draw.

Murray has joined the Fife side until the end of the season.

He has played 29 times for the Hibees, scoring 4 goals, and has played for Scotland U21's.

Speaking to the official club website, Hibs boss Jack Ross said:

“Fraser is someone I think a lot of, and he is a big part of my plans here.

“This is about getting him the regular game time that he needs at this stage of his career.

“Fraser has been involved with the squad but this is a great opportunity for him to go to a good club in a difficult league and I look forward to monitoring his progress.”

Dunfermline have recruited well and should challenge at the top end of the Championship this season.

Fraser has plenty of potential. this loan could push him to the next level and get him ready for the Hibs first team.
