Hibs midfielder Sam Stanton set to sign for Dundee Utd on loan

According to reports today, Hibs midfielder Sam Stanton is set to join Dundee Utd on loan.

The Scottish Sun are have revealed that Stanton underwent his medical this morning, and United are hopeful of pushing the deal through in time for him to play in today's BetFred Cup Group game with Raith Rovers at Tannadice.

Stanton is expected to join on a season long loan deal, just days after Hibs boss Neil Lennon told him he had no future at Easter Road.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Championship club Dumbarton, and impressed during his time at the Rock, playing 27 times and scoring 4 goals.

Stanton would join ex Hibs team mate James Keatings in signing for the Tannadice club.
