Hibs midfielder Stevie Mallan joins Turks Yeni Malatyaspor on loan

Out-of-favour Hibs midfielder Stevie Mallan has tonight joined Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor on loan.

The 24-year-old has signed for the Turkish Super Lig outfit until the end of the season, with the option to buy should the move work out.

Mallan has struggled to hold down a first team spot this season, and with the recent arrivals of Jackson Irvine and Chris Cadden, his chances have become even more limited.

Mallan joined the Hibees in a reported £200,000 deal from Barnsley in 2018, he has played 95 times for the club, scoring 20 goals.

Good luck to Stevie, on his day he is a cracking little player, but his form has been poor lately, and it's seen his chances at Easter Road become very limited.

The move could be good for him and for Hibs should he play well in Turkey.

A good career move for a young Scottish laddie as well.

It could free up a wage for the Hibees to sign someone before tonight's transfer deadline
