Hibs set to sign LASK Linz striker Adam Griger in 200k deal

It's been revealed today that Hibs are closing in on the signing of LASK Linz striker Adam Griger.

According to the Scottish Sun, the Hibees have agreed a £200,000 deal for the 18-year-old.

The Hibees have apparently beat of stiff competition from across Europe to land the Slovak from the Austrian side, who have also inserted a decent sell-on clause.

Griger is no stranger to Scottish Football, having previously spent time on trial with Rangers as a 15-year-old, scoring in trial game against Queen's Park but was never offered a deal.

The 6ft 4in hitman spent last season on loan with Austrian lower league side Juniors OO, scoring 5 goals in 27 games.

Griger, who is part of the successful Slovak U20 side, who qualified for the U20 World Cup in March, is expected to fly to Edinburgh in the coming days to complete the deal.

HIBS-MAD VIEW:

Another exciting looking signing heading to Easter Road.

The Hibees have invested heavily this pre-season, and it looks like another £200k will be spent.

It's unclear wether Griger will be part of the first-team at Easter Road, or if he's a DV signing.

We have already seen that Hibs will not be put off spending money on the DV side, having splashed out £250k on 16-yer-old Bristol City midfielder Reuben McAllister earlier this summer.
