Hibs set to sign Motherwell keeper Graeme Smith on pre-contract agreement!

According to reports in this mornings press Hibs are on the verge of sealing a deal for Motherwell keeper Graeme Smith.

The 25-year-old is said to be on the verge of signing a pre-contract agreement to join the Hibees in the summer.

It was thought that Smith would head to England in the summer, but Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen has nipped in ahead of any potential rivals for the former Rangers keeper.

Hibs current keeper, Polish star Gregorz Szamotulski, only signed a contract to the end of the season when he signed in January, and the club are still unsure if he will stay at Easter Road beyond the summer.

It now looks like Paatelianen has moved quickly to cover the possible departure of Szamotulski and made his move for Smith.

Smith has played over 100 games for Well since he left Rangers without making a first team appearance.

He also played 20+ games for Ross County while on loan from the Ibrox club.
