Hibs have tonight announced the late, late signing of Ukranian striker Mykola Kukharevych.

The 6ft 4in hitman has joined the Hibees on loan from French side Troyes until the end of the season.

Kukharevych, 21, is a Ukranian U21 international, who has spent the last year on loan with Belgian side (OH) Leuven.

Speaking to the official club website, Hibs boss Lee Johnson said:

“We’re really happy to welcome Mykola Kukharevych to Hibernian FC for the upcoming campaign.

“He’s a young striker that has gained minutes at a high level, and we believe he has all the attributes to be a real success in the Scottish game.

“Mykola is a different profile to the other strikers we have in the building, and we look forward to working with him.”

HIBS-MAD VIEW:

Well this one has come from nowhere.

We don't know much about the lad, but he is clearly a replacement for Christian Doidge who went to Killie on loan yesterday.

He is different to any player we have up-front and should be more be a more agile striker than big Doidge.

Welcome to the Hibees Mykola!
