Hibs have today confirmed that striker Florian Kamberi has joined Swiss outfit St Gallen.

Kamberi, 25, has signed a three-year-deal with Super League club, in a deal thought to be worth £150,000.

It's the end of a long transfer saga, that started when Kamberi made some stupid comments after joining Rangers on loan last season, a move which destrpyed hsi relastionship the Hibs support.

A number of sides across Europe were linked with the Grasshoppers forward, including Norwich City, Hull City, FC Basel and Rangers, but it's St gallen who have won his signature.

Kamberi hit 30 goals for the Hibees in over 70 appearances.

Kamberi left this message on instagram:

“It’s been a quick 2.5 years in Scotland and now it’s time for me to move on to a new challenge in my homeland.

“Thanks to everyone at Hibernian for giving me the chance to live and work in a great city and to Rangers for the great opportunity and experience.

“A special thanks to both sets of fans for the great support. Good luck to both teams for the future.”

It's good to see the club get the deal over the line.

It was best for all parties that the players left the club.

Kamberi, when he can be bothered, is a good striker, and at one point it looked like he would earn a big money move to England.

The whole saga with Neil Lennon, and then Rangers soured his time in Edinburgh.

Will Hibs now re-invest the money in the squad??

We are probably still a coule of players light.
