Hibs have today been linked with a January move for Accrington Stanley striker Dion Charles.

According to reporter Alan Nixon, the Hibees will look to ressurect a move for a player they tried to sign in the summer.

The 25-year-old is out-of-contract next summer and Hibs could make a bid when the january window opens, or try to agree a pre-contract with the Northern Irish hitman, then force a January transfer through for a small fee.

Charles scored 19 goals in English League One last season, but has been left out of the last couple of Accrington squads, after angering his club, by refusing to sign a new deal.

Hibs boss Jack Ross is hopeful of landing the striker when the window opens.

We don't know much about the lad, but on paper he has a decent goal scoring record, and has excelled over the last year or so.

He recently made his international debut, and would add some much needed competition to the Hibs front-line.

Hibs already have USA international Chris Mueller arriving in January on a pre-contract, so it looks like an exciting window already.
