Hibs youngster Murray Johnson set to join Wolves in 250k deal

Last updated : 14 March 2021 By Steve Forbes

It's been reported this evening that English side Wolves are set to sign young Hibs keeper Murray Johnson.

The 16-year-old, who recently spent a trial period with Manchester City, and has also been attracting the interest of Chelsea and Arsenal, is expected to complete the deal in the coming days.

Johnson recently signed his first professional contract with the Hibees, and it's looking like a deal is about to be done, with Hibs landing a reported £250,000 fee, as well as a sell-on and other incentives added in to the deal.

The youngster has been capped at U16 level for Scotland.

Good luck to the lad, it's a big move for him, and will probably be financially rewarding.

It's not every day you get handed the chance of signing for an English Premiership club.

Hibs will pocket a decent fee, but it's dissapointing to lose a well thought of youngster.

Youngsters like Johnson are now leaving before we even get to see them in the first team.
