Hibs youngster Robbie Hamilton signs new deal and joins Stirling Albion on loan

Hibs have revealed that exciting youngster Robbie Hamilton has signed a new deal with the club.

The 18-year-old midfielder has signed a contract that ties him to Easter Road until the summer of 2024.

Hamilton, son of former Hearts striker Jim, has also joined Stirling Albion on loan until the end of the season.

He joins the Binos at a great time, as they are chasing promotion from League Two, seven points behind leaders Dumbarton wioth two games in hand.

Hamilton has already made his first team debut for the Hibees, and was part of the U19's superb run in the Uefa Youth League, eventually going out 2-1 to Borussia Dortmund, after knocking out both Molde and Nantes.

As it's a development loan, Robbie will train with Stirling Albion, and will also train and play for the Hibs DV side during his loan.

Good to see one of our exciting batch of kids going out and getting game time.

He showed well against St Johnstone on his debut last season and has stood out in the UYL.

This loan will do him the world of good.
