Middlesbrough set to make £3m swoop for Hibs striker Steven Fletcher

English Premiership side Middlesbrough have become the latest side to be linked with Hibs and Scotland striker Steven Fletcher.

Fletcher, 21, could play his last game for the Hibees in Saturday's powder keg Edinburgh derby at Tynecastle, a game in which Boro are to send a scout to, in one last check on the striker.

According to reports Boro boss Gareth Southgate is set to bid £3m with add-ons to land the youngster to nip in ahead of their rivals for his signature.

Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are said to be keen on Fletcher, while Rangers, Celtic, Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Manchester City and Everton have all been linked with the player.
