It's been reported today that Italian side Udinese have joined the race for Hibs defender Ryan Porteous.

The 23-year-old has told the Hibees he will not sign a new deal, and will be a free agent come the summer, meaning he can sign a pre-contract in January.

That news alerted the likes of Stoke City, Millwall, Sheffield Wednesday and Luton Town who have all been linked in the past.

Italian side Udinese are now said to be interested, and should they land the Scotland international, would then loan him to English side Watford, with both club's owned by the same family.

The same report also suggests that Sunderland, Norwich City and West Brom are also interested.

Rangers are also said to be keen.

Hibs are looking for a good fee, in the region of £500,000 to sel the player this coming January window.

HIBS-MAD VIEW:

Good luck to Ryan wherever he ends up, but Hibs need to get as much as possible to help bolster the squad during the transfer window.
