Young Hibs pair return from loan spells early

Last updated : 06 January 2018 By Steve Forbes

Hibs youngsters Andrew Blake and Ben Stirling have both returned to the club after their loan spells were ended early.

Blake, 21, has picked up a long-term injury and his loan with Edinburgh City has been cancelled as a result.

The Kiwi full-back played 8 times for the Meadowbank side.

Ben Stirling has also returned to Easter Road, following a loan spell with League Two side Cowdenbeath.

He played 8 times for the Central Park side and scored one goal.

The 19-year-old has been included in the first team squad for their winter break trip to the Algarve, which suggests his return is to bolster the first team squad for the second half of the season.
